Deep, dense blood-red color with an inky core going out into a fine crimson-edged rim definition and high viscosity. Its nose contains plums, mashed blackberries, raisins, spice box, herbally influenced minerals, and touches of smoke and licorice with notes of chocolate. Awards: 97 pnt Luca Maroni

Primitivo, Negroamaro and a tiny bit of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are picked by hand. After the first passage through the vineyard, the bunches of grapes are snapped but left on the bush. 2 weeks later, the ripened grapes are actually picked. Then follows a classic maceration and fermentation. No pronounced wood maturation.
